I am an experienced senior graphics, audio & game engine programmer, with a swiss army knife certificate in cross-platform and experimental game development. I have worked on 16 commercial games since 2004; among them the multiple award winning LIMBO as well as 2015 BAFTA winner The Dumping Ground: You’re the boss!.
VR & Digital Installations Pioneer
Besides video games, my portfolio includes virtual reality, a few interactive installations and non-game applications. I am a cross-platform specialist, and have just in the last couple of years, helped bring games to Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, Android, Oculus Rift and more. Going back, I have worked on most modern platforms (Xbox 360/PS2/embedded devices/ etc).
- I am part of Team Fugl, and the game launched on virtual reality for Oculus Rift on the Oculus Store on 11 July 2019.
- I was lead programmer on project, where we designed an interactive collaborative workspace for a major financial institution on Canary Wharf in London. The project took a mix of hardware and software, and I was on the software side. Keywords include; c++, OpenGL, realtime, arduino, networking, http, multi-threading, micro-services, security.
- As a programmer at the Center for Advanced Visualization and Interaction, I was part of running the center and developing new software for it. Technologies include: c++, midi, stereo graphics, tracking for virtual reality installations, genlock, OpenGL, linux, unix.
I am also currently a late-in-life PhD Student at Goldsmiths, focusing on ALife, Evolutionary techniques, modelling, animation and rendering.
I am very interested in experimental game development, and have: * Co-founded the Global Game Jam with Susan Gold, Ian Schreiber and Foaad Khosmood. * Co-founded the Nordic Game Jam with Jesper Juul and Henriette Moos. * Founded the London Indie Game Developers meetup group, which today have more than 2700 members. * Run the IGDA Denmark chapter for 5 years.
